As 2015 comes to a close and we reflect on what a big second year the Twin Cities Geekettes has had, we immediately think of each of our members, sponsors and presenters — without them our community wouldn’t be as vibrant and our mission as successful. So this is not only a recap, but a giant, heartfelt THANK YOU!

2015 was another full year of events — from beginning programming workshops to hardware hacking, data visualization and mob programming. We also partnered with other organizations like Hack the GapTwin Cities Start Up Week#FemTechCOCOThe Nerdery and Target to serve a broader audience in the Twin Cities’ community.

If it wasn’t for the generous support of our sponsors and volunteers, this community wouldn’t be what it is today. On behalf of our entire community, we want to thank the following organizations and individuals in supporting us and partnering with us to make these events possible in the Twin Cities. Some of you fed us, some donated space and product and some gave us money. Without all of these resources, we would not be able to host so many fun hacking events. I hope you look back on the year and feel proud of your part in uplifting this community of women in the Twin Cities.

The Year Ahead

With the growth we’ve seen in the last two years, we are expanding the team in 2016. Earlier this year we welcomed Leah to the team of ambassadors and in January we will be unveiling 4 new ambassadors that will join the team — don’t miss this announcement at our January event.

We are also working on the programming for 2016. If you are interested in sponsoring an event, want to be a speaker/presenter or want to volunteer in another way, please contact us.

And finally, if you’re not a member, you can sign up here. It’s free and you are the first to get invited to the events.

Have a Happy New Year!
